For advocates of access to justice and true equality under the law.

What is Pro Bono?

'Pro bono comes from the latin phrase "pro bono publico" which means for the public good. In the legal context it generally means the provision of legal services on a free basis to individuals, charities and community groups who cannot afford to pay for that advice or representation and where public means of funding are not available.'

- The Law Society

The Bristol Pro Bono Society aims to offer a wide range of opportunities for members who are interested in the charitable aspect of legal work and promoting access to justice across the country. Through legal placements, workshops, networking events and fundraising, their members have a variety of options to accumulate practical experience and see the concrete impact of their work.
